The Madrid girls’ cross country team opened its 2025 season with a dominant performance Thursday, August 28, at the Southeast Valley Invitational, held at the Gowrie Country Club. The Tigers claimed the team title with 41 points, outpacing nine other schools in the field, and placing 5 runners in the top 21.

Boone volleyball team opened its 2025 season with a hard-fought match against Webster City on Thursday, August 28, at Boone High School. The Toreadors fell just short, dropping the season opener 3-2 in a five-set thriller.
